As a matter of fact, I have been permitted to choose my own words and discuss my own ideas regarding the choice that we face in the next few weeks.
I have spent most of my life as a Democrat. I recently have seen fit to follow another course. I believe that the issues confronting us cross party lines. Now, one side in this campaign has been telling us that the issues of this election are the maintenance of peace and prosperity. The line has been used, "We've never had it so good."
But I have an uncomfortable feeling that this prosperity isn't something on which we can base our hopes for the future. No nation in history has ever survived a tax burden that reached a third of its national income. Today, 37 cents out of every dollar earned in this country is the tax collector's share, and yet our government continues to spend 17 million dollars a day more than the government takes in. We haven't balanced our budget 28 out of the last 34 years. We've raised our debt limit three times in the last twelve months, and now our national debt is one and a half times bigger than all the combined debts of all the nations of the world. We have 15 billion dollars in gold in our treasury; we don't own an ounce. Foreign dollar claims are 27.3 billion dollars. And we've just had announced that the dollar of 1939 will now purchase 45 cents in its total value.
As for the peace that we would preserve, I wonder who among us would like to approach the wife or mother whose husband or son has died in South Vietnam and ask them if they think this is a peace that should be maintained indefinitely. Do they mean peace, or do they mean we just want to be left in peace? There can be no real peace while one American is dying some place in the world for the rest of us. We're at war with the most dangerous enemy that has ever faced mankind in his long climb from the swamp to the stars, and it's been said if we lose that war, and in so doing lose this way of freedom of ours, history will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening. Well I think it's time we ask ourselves if we still know the freedoms that were intended for us by the Founding Fathers.
Not too long ago, two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, "We don't know how lucky we are." And the Cuban stopped and said, "How lucky you are? I had someplace to escape to." And in that sentence he told us the entire story. If we lose freedom here, there's no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth.
And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except the sovereign people, is still the newest and the most unique idea in all the long history of man's relation to man.
This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.
You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I'd like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There's only an up or down -- [up] man's old -- old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.

Low carbon life is a very environmental protection and civilization. my understanding is that of low carbon in daily life from yourself, from small start, minimize every possible cost. of course, low carbon is main or refers to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

For example; water may be used for washing a face wash the feet of water, wash clothes can be used to rinse dishcloth, clean the floor, then these wastewater can again to flush the toilet; water after washing vegetable can be used to water the flowers. dont look down upon these water reuse, accumulated, only a 3 home can save a ton per month above water.
In addition, if monthly wash clothes, so once per washer can save electricity, also saves power of the coal, also will reduce carbon emissions, if all the family can do monthly by hand to wash clothes, reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide once is 68.4 tons, can achieve this figure is very surprising. meanwhile, but use washing machine while holding with clothes to wash washing machine also can cause unnecessary waste.

My Attitude towards to Marks 我的分数观
For our students, marks is above everything. Teachers will judge us from our marks. With marks we can be enrolled into junior middle schools. With marks, we can be enrolled into senior middle schools. With marks we can be enrolled into college. With marks we can be enrolled into postgraduate and doctrine studies. Still with marks we can be graded and be allowed to go abroad for further studies. Our parents will be strict with us with the marks. Our society judge us from marks. However, sometimes we students compare one another with marks directly. We are completely controlled by marks. We like them and we feel sorry for them. But what attitude towards our marks should we take?
Truly, marks functions cannot be underestimated. In terms of test in our study, marks are fair and real. That is the reason why we say "Everyone is equal before marks. "
However, I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failure of students in exams. Sometimes, marks more than ten or less than one or two in our exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure in exams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s health etc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. " Success or failure is common sense for military. " I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. Don’t you think such will be the case with our study? In exams, one cannot be " never-defeated general" . Even though one will be very good in everyday study, he cannot succeed in every exam sometimes. We can get proof from the fact that the very best one we call "Number One Scholar" in the entrance exams for college and ordinary middle school and specialized secondary school over the years is not eminent above all others nor top student in every study.
As a matter of fact, "high marks" and "ability" are not unified. Some time ago, a new phrase " high marks but poor competence" came into being. Once I happened to meet such a teacher as this .It is said that the teacher just graduated from a far-famed key university. But his teaching result is much less than that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. When lecturing, the teacher only repeated what the text-books says, which was very dull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching was short of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we know a few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. The reason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from books with pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in every exam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’t you think it waste training such persons for the country?
To sum up from the above, I can say marks are not absolutely authoritative for some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability and competence and if we only seek for the high marks, we will be absolutely wrong. We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should we neglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.

事实上,“高分”与“能力”往往是不统一的。前段时间,社会上出现了一个新词:“高分低能”。笔者就曾经碰见这样一位教师,据说他毕业于某赫赫有名的重点大学,但从教学效果上讲,却远远逊色于一些非高等学府毕业的老师。其授课只是照本宣读而已,枯燥乏味,缺乏一种教与学之间的协调功能。根本不能引起听课同学的兴趣,目前不少大中专院校的高材生毕业后不能胜任他们的工作,原因就在于缺少将书本中的知识运用到实际工作中去的能力。这种人,尽管在学校中每每能考出高分,可无法在工作岗位上灵活白如地运用自己所学到的知识。国家培养出这样的“人材”,不也是一种浪费吗?
由此可见,分数并不如有些人想象得那么绝对和,忽视了对各方面才能的培养,只一味追求高分,是不行的。因此,我们应该客观地去看待分数,既不应过分轻视它,也没有必要把它看得过于神圣。

They are very special. the most interesting place was the zoo inside. there are many animals, such as, tigers, elephants, zebras and monkeys.
Monkeys are my favorite animals.they are our good friends. later I went to the children 's playground, it’s children’s world. I played happily with my parents. finally, we watched 4d movies, it was very exciting.

My favourite season is spring. Everything is very lively in the spring. Theflowers are blooming, the trees are growing and the grass is turning green. Ilike lying on the grass and enjoy the sun shine in the park in the spring. Wealso can fly a kite, have a picnic, go on a trip or climb the mountain, but Idon‘t like to do those things, because they will make me feel tired. Now it is common that students copy homework from their classmates. I think it is a terrible thing . Because homework is their own task and the check for what they learn in class. If they copy others' homework , the teachers won't get the fact so they can't help the students to improve. Besides ,if the students can't finish their homework, they can't get the chance to go over their lessons so they can't make progress. So don't copy others' homework.
Technology is power, which is not proportionally distributed among creature. Human beings and other species belong to distinctively varied categories since men grasp the strength of technology. The people with great power, driven by their greedy instinct, can easily build their prosperity upon others species' or other human-beings' suffering and torment. With high-technology, people hunt and kill cetaceans in extremely high efficiency for extra food. Developed countries build polluting factories in Third World countries and earn the profits thousand miles away. They invade small countries for hypocritical reasons just to exploit its natural resources. Science and technology have turned this world into a dog-eat-dog wild jungle. What's worse, we barely feel guilty about the conducted evils because what we have to do is to push buttons and machines are our accomplices.
However, it is humanism that stops us from becoming complete animals. Humanism made us realize the significance of living in a harmonious world and turn our spotlight on building eco-friendly industry. In the past years, we stopped killing animals for nutrition we don't need. We passed laws and regulations to protect the least-advantaged people. Because of humanism, we started to consider human beings and nature as a whole and care more than just ourselves. We filled ourselves with reason, love and compassion. Humanism keeps reminding us the consequence of abusing the immense power of technology and the great responsibility we undertake.
As human, we are deeply conscious of our common humanity. There is no way we can walk away without being tortured by our conscience after we did so many damages on nature or other forms of life. Therefore, we modify our behavior to what we think it's humane. In this way, we gradually achieve the ultimate harmony between human and nature.
In fact, humanism has done much more than just making our conscience clear. It actually saves us from destroying our planet. We all know that we can't upset the balance of nature without a price although sometimes people choose to neglect the consequences and give in to the desire of fortune. Silent Spring, a very famous book written by Rachel Carson, revealed the fact that DDT and such chemical products could be very lethal to creatures like birds, and therefore they caused irreversible damage to our eco-system. The manufacturers knew exactly about the side effects but they chose to conceal the fact for their own interests. Without the humanists like Rachel Carson, we will remain ignorant and eventualy face our own doom desperately.
The role of humanism is absolutely indispensable. It gives us a unique opportunity to be wise and act in ways that elevate us above the animal kingdom. It retains our humanness. It prevents the world from being destroyed because of our destructive instinct. So ladies and gentlemen, let passion fill your sails, but let humanism be your rudder.
Everyone has a dream.
Now I want to say something about my dream. What is my dream? I often ask myself. In my mind, everyone shall have his own dream. I think that having a dream means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve the target. As long as we have a goal to be realized, we wont be blind at least.
My dream is to become a successful doctor, helping those sick people and saving their lives. Of course, to be a good doctor is very difficult, but I will do whatever I can do to keep everyone healthy. Thats my dream. I want to try my best to help the poor sick people of our country. I want to let them have an opportunity to receive excellent treatments for their illnesses without having to pay much or just enjoy them free. China is a developing country which needs good medicine and good doctors, especially in the countryside and distant villages. Now Im a junior student on Grade One, all my classmates and I are working hard. We all know that the entrance exam of high schools coming in the year of 20xx is a big challenge for us, so we must study harder and harder in order to go to a good high school. Thus after we finish our senior high school, we are able to go to a good university. Finally, we can find a good job in society.
My dream is also that although at present Im good at study, Ill still try my best to be the study winner. Now everything I do is close to my dream. I feel life is fill with hope and is colorful, and I have enough confidence to realize my dream.
I know that fantasy is something hard to realize, but dream can. Ill work hard for my dreams, Ill never give up.
Nothing Succeeds Without a Strong Will “Where there is a will, there isway” is an old proverb which almost everyone knows, but not all understand it sowell.
Actually, it means that if you are really resolved to do something, nomatter how difficult it might be, never give up. In fact, strong will is a kindof good quality which successful people should own. A great man is always onewho has a firm resolution and an inflexible spirit.
One will never succeed all his life without a firm will to get the finalvictory. As a rule, great tasks are accomplished by men of strong will. Forexample, Dr. Sun Yatsen, the founder of the Republic of China, set the Chinesepeople free from the Manchurian rule through a long period of hard struggle.
Many of his attempts failed and many of his followers were killed, but hehad an inflexible spirit and stuck to his cause. Finally, he made the revolutionof 1911 a success. The same is true of men in all walks of life. It is quiteobvious that there is nothing difficult in the world, if you make up your mindto do it, you will certainly accomplish your end. That stands to reason.
So as for students like us, we should have a good attitude towards failure.Facing with difficulties and failures, keep heads up and never give up. Besides,we should make full preparation, though strong will help us overcome thedifficulties, it is not for person who has no preparation.

The history of human race is like going on a journey. Some of the places the traveler passes through are smooth and level pianos, and others are dangerous and rugged paths. The experienced travelers, when they moved on to a broad, level road, will naturally walk along with a light heart, but while they are passing through a rugged place they will all the more be seized with curiosity, and in such an extremely fantastic and magnificent realm, will all the more feel a sort of pleasure in an adventure.
