大家晚上好!

很高兴今晚年级上安排时间让各学科老师利用11月月考反思的机会对本期以来同学们的英语学习情况进行一个简单的总结。我觉得这样的机会非常宝贵,也非常必要!

因为自从进入高中学习以来,同学们会发现高中英语学习英语与初中有很大的区别,这不仅反应在老师的教学方法及对同学们的要求上,而且大家可以体会到在难度方面较之初中也有很大的提高,再加之我们在有限的时间里要学习很多科目,使得很多同学感觉到在英语学习上有一定的难度。通过几次月考下来,有的同学甚至感觉到有些弥忙。因此,针对这一现状,我想就以下几点谈谈学习英语值得主意的事项目。

1、英语课堂学习应该注重课堂学习效果,课堂里的40分钟非常宝贵且有限,要在这短短的时间内掌握所有的英语知识肯定不易。因此,课堂中要认真听讲,及时消化,否则容易造成听课越听越不懂,形成恶性循环!这里我要特别提醒少数在课堂上表现不容乐观的同学,他们课堂上看似认真,却是身在心不在,学习重在表象,完全不扎实,课堂上总是要在老师的督促与提醒下才能听课,这样不仅仅影响了自己及周边同学的学习,同时也影响了老师的教学进程,从而浪费课堂学习时间,导致学习困难。要知道学英语学习重在平时的努力,学好英语和智商无关,学不好英语的人都是懒惰的人。那种想靠临时突击,临时抱佛脚的做法不可取也不可行。

2、英语学习贵在坚持!就好像跑步运动,英语学习之初大家都从同一个起跑线出发,但随着难度加深与词汇量加大,一些同学慢慢对英语失去新鲜感续而厌烦最后掉队。希望大家都能奋发图强,高中生活也才过去六分之一,因此还存较大提高的余地!对于英语偏科的同学,虽然是历史原因造成的,但并不是不可根治的,想要证明自己真正有实力那就从偏科的英语入手,重点突破!所以,现在欠下了学习债的同学们在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补习英语。

3、学习习惯是第一生产力。许多同学英语学习好,并不是他(她)比别人聪明,而是学习习惯比较好。良好的学习习惯可以大大提高你的学习效果,我们年级有很多这样的同学,比如:黄健,张叶,练诗林,孙震,邹佳玲,彭圣文,姜艳秋,黄静文,官慧婕,唐建柯等同学,她们学习态度端正,上课认真,书写工整,正因为如此,无论什么考试都能取得很好的成绩,这与她们平时良好的学习习惯是分不开的!因此,良好的学习习惯是成功学习的保障。在此,我向大家提出几点建议,希望大家能坚持做好。

首先,树立必胜的学习“自信心”。人的自信心是一种心理品质,是情感因素之一,它对我们的学习起着重要作用。对于一个有自信的人,他会勇于面对挑战,努力向自己定下的目标进发,追求自我实现,不仅可以带来个人的成功感,在其他方面也能得到全面的发展,使自己更受人欢迎;相反,对一个没有自信的人,他会逃避挑战,不敢面对失败的风险,怀疑自己的能力,使自己失去很多成功的机会。因此,希望大家能够正确地分析自己的处境、建立适度的期望值,正确而理性地对待分数,有句话说的好:永远不要否定自己,因为没有人已百分百地认识自己,人的潜能是无穷的。你自己也一样。给自己一个目标,自己跟自己比,只要今天的自己比昨天的自己有进步,就说明你是成功的。要知道,学习英语是一项艰苦的劳动,没有顽强的意志,坚持不懈的毅力是不能成功的。所以英语学习中要克服畏难心理,锻炼学生坚强的意志。同时,在学习过程中,不断地给自己积极的心理的暗示:如“我能赶上”,“我会获得成功的。”

第二,要做好课前预习。高中英语教材每一个模块的内容都比初中明显增多,词汇量大,课文长,难度大。因此,同学们必须在每节课前做好充分的预习,通过查字典等工具书解决难点。对于自己解决不了的问题,做好标记。上课时,要特殊注重这些难点地方,这样课堂听课做到有的放矢,学习效果好,也就提高了学习效率。

第三,重视阅读理解能力的培养。阅读的'目的是提高对语篇整体认识的能力,以及推理判断,归纳总结的能力。坚持长期阅读(每天至少2篇以上)是稳步提高的保证。通过有计划有步骤的课外阅读(如我们所订的报纸),不仅能巩固拓宽教材所学内容,更关键是会使所学知识活起来,激发出浓厚的学英语的兴趣以及扩大知识量的欲望。

第四,养成朗读背诵的习惯。朗读是在课文所提供的语境中对语音,语调,意群,句型等基础知识的综合练习,同时培养纯正的语音语调和好的用语习惯以及为听力打下坚实的基础。对学过的句型,词组,对话,课文进行朗读和背诵,形成流利的语感,也培养了理解能力,为说,读及英语写作打好基础,这是提高英语水平的根本方法。

第五,建立错误档案本。在学习过程中,已获得的知识和技能对以后新知识,新技能的形成产生一定的影响,最好的办法是消灭错误,获得正确知识和技能。每次练习或考试后,应该把自己做错的具有代表性的题目抄下来,收集汇编,然后把老师对错题讲解后的正确语句熟读牢记,保留错误的答案,用红笔写上正确的答案,眉批上理由分析,这样就形成新的语言习惯。平时和临考前翻看,加深印象,引起注意,大大减少了错误率。既巩固了知识,又提高了应试能力,发挥了最佳的水平。

第六,养成良好的书写习惯。书写规范,字迹工整,卷面整洁的习惯也很重要。高中相当一部分学生的字体书写不好,难以辨认,大小写不分,词距若有若无,标点符号乱用,给老师批改作业和试卷造成极大的麻烦。这在高考阅卷评分中会吃大亏,白白丢分。因此,从高一开始平时要养成书写规范的习惯,对大小写,标点符号和词距等一定要一丝不苟,力求规范化,整齐美观。

第七,养成使用英汉双解词典的习惯。高中学生阅读面扩大,需要补充词汇量。学生应备一本英汉词典,如牛津中,高阶英汉双解词典,在学习中随时查阅。这在很大程度上能解决学生的疑惑,帮助理解词的用法,词汇量也就随之不断扩大。

最后,认真对待老师布置的作业,包括书面的和非书面的作业。作业一定要按时独立完成,不要成为学习上的“寄生虫”。作业是老师检查了解学生知识掌握情况的一个有效途径,要求同学们能如实客观地对待作业。知之为知之,不知为不知,宁愿独立完成归后空几题的作业,也比完全不经过自己大脑思考抄袭来的作业质量高得多。许多同学自觉性差,平时空空散漫,交作业时就抄,很多时间,老师都布置了一定的英语作业,但更多的时候是要求同

学们主动地去找作业做,找事情干。这里要特别强调的是课外英语单词的记忆。众所周知,记忆在英语教学中占有极其重要的地位。从某种程度讲,它是学好英语的要害与前提。因为英语是一门记忆性很强的学科。它有大量的单词、词组、句型、语法等需要记忆。有些同学反应单词老是记不住,问有没有捷径可循,我想方法之一尽量采取情景记忆,把这个单词放在语言环境中记,这样不仅轻易记住,而且还把握了它的用法。因此在这就特别强调对我们报纸单词的记忆是在仔细阅读报纸文章的前提下进行的。因为在文章中或对话中记单词,能达到事半功倍的效果。以记单词为例,方法很多,但是比较科学简洁的方法还是研究单词的结构,分析词义。分析英代的单词构成,可以知道复合词和派生词占相称大比例,尤其是派生词数量极多,派生词均由词根和词缀构成,词根和词缀均有特定的含义,若按词根的方式记忆,势必可以提高效率,少出错误。比如,unsuccessful,知道词根success是“成功”的意思,un是否定前缀,ful是形容词后缀,那么,这个单词的词义“不成功的”就很明确了。当然,背单词是一件相当枯燥且繁琐的事情,并不是所有的单词都在一定的情景,因而单词记忆在很多时候需要进行机械记忆,这是语言学科的特性决定的,这也包括英语学习中的相关知识点的记忆。要掌握就必须要不断的反复,背了就忘,忘了再背,如果不及时复习巩固,当然又会忘。所以提醒大学要分散记忆,反复复习。同学们千万不能纵容自己说:英语好难,我记不住就任由他去。我们必须知道:今天,你花大时间去养成好习惯,明天,你就可以更好。

And I want to say something to the schoolchildren of who were watching the live coverage of the shuttle's take-off. I know it's hard to understand, but sometimes painful things like this happen. It's all part of the proceof exploration and discovery. It's all part of taking a chance and expanding man's horizons. The future doesn't belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave. The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and we'll continue to follow them.

We'll continue our quest in space. There will be more shuttle flights and more shuttle crews and, yes, more volunteers, more civilians, more teachers in space. Nothing ends here; our hopes and our journeys continue.

A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.

Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. I would contribute my individual and unique colors to create a more diverse universe. Please, be yourself.

Life is long, and we are just on the starting point. Finally we'll understand life is not just about making a living. There're something much more important than money and material enjoyment, that is spiritual wealth, that is dream. It's the process of your pursuit of dream, the process when you are trying, when you are seeking, when you are struggling, when you failed and restarted again and again with your determination, hardwork, and perseverance that make you, build you, and help you to lead a worthy and significative life, whether you'll achieve your dream or not, the result is not that important.

I do not like the word "Pet", but preferring the word "Animal" instead. I have been loving animal since I was just a little boy. When thinking of the "Pet Fashion", I always feel much annoyed. For the animals will be given a shackle and lose their liberty if they become someone's pets. Their natural attribution can be deprived, too.

Up to now, relying on their scientific power, the human have opened up too much and over developed nature, in order to fill up their growing appetites of wealth. They destroy the balance of nature, however, they don't realize, their own development and existence will be threatened. Therefore, our sights should be focused on nature and we should try to develop the concept of "keeping human and nature in unity".

We should lay emphasis on our education with consider cultural and natural emotion. To use the vivid example to wake up the conscience in people's hearts.

To love nature is to love our mankind. As the new generation who enter the new century, we should make efforts to love and respect nature, to treat it well and protect it. At last, we have the night to enjoy it.

This dream gives me energy to study harder and harder. Now I'm trying my best to make it come true. Sure, I have enough confidence to realize my dream.

My second dream is becoming an excellent doctor. I always dream that I could turn a doctor like Bai Qiuen, so that I could cure a lot of patients, help them get rid of sick devil, let them lead a healthy and happy life, and finally I will feel happy, too.

We understand that it’s not going to be a cakewalk, this competition for the future, which means all of us are going to have to do our best. We are going to have to win the future by being smarter and working harder and working together. Innovation is the spirit of our country, the motive force for our country’s prosperity. Sparking the imagination and creativity of our people, unleashing new discoveries -- that's what China will do better than any other country on Earth. From the moment we have a new idea, we can explore it; we can develop it with a research grant; we can protect it with a patent; we can market it with a loan to start a new business.

We’ve got a chain that takes a great idea all the way through. We must be confirmed that, today, the challenges we face are real. They are serious they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But we will somehow find a way to overcome the difficulties. My major is . My job is to discover or create new drugs for many diseases like cancer. You know that laboratory is the place where miracles happen. Believe it or not. What I do can save millions of people’s lives. For a long time, what challenges me is how to commercialize research.

You come up with a great idea, but moving that new discovery from theory to practice or from the lab to the marketplace, that's re ally a big job. That’s what we should focus on. We need to act with a sense of urgency-to study and work and create as if the fate of the country depends on us-because it does. It depends on us. Thank you!

Since the day I was born, I began to have a proud name—Chinese. Since the day I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “I love you, China!”

I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese. I’m proud that I’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world—Chinese.

I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day, every minute. Last year, I got an opportunity to visit the United States of America. During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family to dinner. While at table, he looked at me and asked: “Little boy, how long have you been in America?” “About a month,” I answered, “How lucky you are!” he said, “If you were living in China, how could you learn such perfect English?” I smiled and told him proudly that all the students in China are able to learn English at school. I saw his surprised eyes and said to myself, “I’m proud of you, China. For you are offering us the best education.”

When I came back from the USA, my friends asked me: “How do you feel about your staying there?” “Wonderful” I said. “Then why do you come back?” Hearing this, I told them there were lots of beautiful countries in the world, but none of them can compare with our own country—China. How true the saying is: “There’s no place like home!”

I love you, China. As a young student, all we should do is to study hard and devote ourselves whole-heartedly in the future, to the great cause of building you into an even stronger and greater country in the world. I love you, my dear motherland! I love you, China!

Our third choice is to go to the heart of the trouble. And that means cleaning out major North Vietnamese and Vietcong occupied territories, these sanctuaries which serve as bases for attacks on both Cambodia and American and South Vietnamese forces in South Vietnam. Some of these, incidentally, are as close to Saigon as Baltimore is to Washington. This one, for example, is called the Parrot’s Beak. It’s only 33 miles from Saigon.

Now faced with these three options, this is the decision I have made. In co-operation with the armed forces of South Vietnam, attacks are being launched this week to clean out major enemy sanctuaries on the Cambodian-Vietnam border. A major responsibility for the ground operations is being assumed by South Vietnamese forces.

For example, the attacks in several areas, including the parrot’s beak that I referred to a moment ago, are exclusively South Vietnamese ground operations, under South Vietnamese command, with the United States providing air and logistical support. There is one area however, immediately above the parrot’s beak where I have concluded that a combined American and South Vietnamese operation is necessary.

Tonight, American and South Vietnamese units will attack the headquarters for the entire Communist military operation in South Vietnam. This key control center has been occupied by the North Vietnamese and Vietcong for five years in blatant violation of Cambodia’s neutrality.

We mourn sevenheroes: Michael Smith, Dick Scobee, Judith Resnik, Ronald McNair, EllisonOnizuka, Gregory Jarvis, and Christa McAuliffe. We mourn their loas a nationtogether.

And I want to say something to the schoolchildren of who were watching thelive coverage of the shuttles take-off. I know its hard to understand, butsometimes painful things like this happen. Its all part of the proceofexploration and discovery. Its all part of taking a chance and expanding manshorizons. The future doesnt belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave.The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and well continue to followthem.

Well continue our quest in space. There will be more shuttle flights andmore shuttle crews and, yes, more volunteers, more civilians, more teachers inspace. Nothing ends here; our hopes and our journeys continue.
